Community Involvement
John D. Waddell, Q.C.
John always finds time and energy to devote to his children's sporting activities. He has coached in the Victoria Minor Hockey system for 5 years and in the girl's softball divisions of the Beacon Hill and Oak Bay Little Leagues for 6 years.
John is a past member of the Beacon Hill Little League and Victoria Minor Hockey Association Executives and served as the coaching co-ordinator of the Greater Victoria Cougars AAA Minor Hockey Program. He is a runner, hockey player of sorts, rudimentary guitar player and dabbles as a writer of the odd short story.
Eugene Raponi, Q.C.
Eugene currently sits on the Board of directors of The Greater Victoria Citizens' Counselling Centre, a society funded by the Vancouver Island Health Authority and the United Way, that provides lay counselling to the public as well as counselling education and programs. In the past, when his children were younger, Eugene's community involvement related to their activities. He was also involved in coordinating the youth exchange program for a local service club, doing volunteer work with disabled adults and children, and acted as a cub and beaver leader for several years. Eugene Raponi - Waddell, Raponi
Eugene sings with a community Choir, the Allegra Singers, and enjoys squash and running. He is handy with a hammer and saw (as well as a host of power tools) and can sometimes be found performing renovation projects and building the occasional piece of furniture.
Nicholas A. Mosky
Nick is currently Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Harmony Foundation, a non-profit environmental education foundation, and is a Board Member of the Craigdarroch Castle Society.
Nick is an active member of the Victoria YMCA and has worked as a volunteer on the YW-YMCA Partners with Youth Fundraising Campaign for the past several years. In an attempt to keep pace with his three energetic children, Nick runs and plays recreational hockey. Nick blames his poor golf game on his commitment to his children.
